Awh this book is so cute and touching and ah you should just read it!!Eleven year old Hattie Owen lives in a border house.. Except she isn't a border. Her family runs it. Her only friends happen to be the adults that live in her house... besides Betsy who is on vacation for the summer. When her Uncle Adam (who she JUST found out about) moves in with her Grandparents, Hattie's world is forever changed. Due to Adam's mental problems, living around him proves to be difficult. But Hattie seems to understand Adam more than the others. As Hattie spends the summer making friends, going to the carnival, and spending time with Adam, she realizes her little corner of the universe will never be the same.
This is book is perfect for someone looking for a short, easy read! It is a cute story, and is full of meaning. Mostly clean (two cuss words) and very entertaining. I love love loved it!!!
