Uglies

Today's book review is the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield. I really enjoyed reading this book! It's dated in the future with new cool inventions that I'm like why do I not have that now? seriously some scientists need to start inventing some of this stuff ASAP!

The story is about a girl named Tally. She lives in Uglyville. A city for all the kids who are under 16 and UGLY. Tally wishes she could go to New Pretty Town with her bestfriend Peris who is already 16, but in order to move there she must get the operation on her 16th birthday. The operation to make her pretty. As she waits for her 16th birthday she meet Shay, and they become quick friends. But when Shay disappears and the city gets involved, her operation is put on hold, maybe forever. Tally learns about the old "Rusties" who almost ruined the world, and many other not so nice things about her city. The series continues on with Tally's story of her rebellion to the city and it's wrong doings.
I have only read the first two books in the series so far, but I really enjoyed both. They do have a couple cuss words in them though.... :/

I would rate this book a PG book
     due to some cussing
GOOD OR GOODBYE?
      GOOD!

the nitty gritty for parents:
the cuss words said in this book are the H and D word. also it has some drinking in the second one, if that bothers you :)

THANKS FOR READING!
