Kendra and her brother are forced to spend their vacation with their grandparents the Sorensons. Kendra was sure it was going to be the most boring summer of her life. boy was she wrong.

I recently had to read the series with my little sister. I fell in love with the series all over again. It amazes me the way the story weaves together. Kendra doesn't think she's ready for the journey ahead of her, but with the help of her brother and some very kind creatures, she makes it through. The only thing I didnt like in the series is the stupidity of Seth. it drove me nuts. He continuously disobeyed even when the consequences could be deadly.
I have read quite a few books with the magical twist but this one is my favorite. The way the creatures act really brings them to life. They feel humans are there for necessity, and other than that, people shouldn't bother them. The mystery keeps you asking questions (even weird ones about milk) if I could live in this book, I would be there in a second. because even though there is danger around every corner I'd remember that anything is possible when magic is involved.
