Elantris was a beautiful, once. It was called the city of the gods. Visitors say that the very stones glowed with an inner light. The Elantrians seemed to shine like the city their hair a brilliant white, their skin a metallic silver. They could perform magics with a bare wave of the hand. They were divinities.

Then 10 years ago something went horribly wrong. Instead of tuning people into gods they become dead look alikes and are imprisoned in the once great city regardless of the person's identity. Even the beloved prince who is the only one that can save his failing kingdom. Good!!!!! One of my top five favorite books ever. PG13 because of violence. Wish i could write a review  to show how good this book but you'll just have to read it.
