The Lunar Chronicles

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
A good friend of mine, Holly Thompson, recommended these books to me, and ahhh I love it!! THEY ARE SOO GOOD!! Forreal I say that about almost every book, oops. :)

So the first one, Cinder, is about a girl named Cinder who is a cyborg. Meaning she's like part metal. Meaning she's abnormal. Honestly this book is a little confusing if you are trying to describe it, and I don't know if I could do it any justice, so I'm just going to add a summary from http://www.marissameyer.com/book/book-one/

"Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless Lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future."

This book is a retelling of Cinderella, in an awesome, futuristic way. I think even guys would enjoy this book :) It is perfectly clean, minus two cuss words :(( Honestly I would definitely recommend this book to anyone!! There are 3 books in the series: Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress. Each one is a little different. Different characters added in, and each character is a reformed fairytale character. ie: Cinderella, the prince, little red riding hood, wolf, etc..

Rate: PG - PG13ish
does have a few cuss words...
GOOD OR GOODBYE?
      GOOD

NITTY GRITTY:
The cuss word used 2x is the D word. It was used twice in a row.
Also in the 2nd book, it says a word that I'm not sure if I would consider it a cuss word, but it is definitely not a word I would ever in my life use... starts with a B....
