Becoming Beauty

Becoming Beauty by Sarah E. Boucher.

For those of you who love re-tellings of Beauty and the Beast, this is a must read! Super cute story & totally clean!!

Bella doesn't care much for making friends or building relationships. All she dreams about is gowns, and jewels, and mansions. She just knows she is destined for greatness in wealth, home, and of course, men. But when her father comes home from a business trip, telling tales of a beautiful necklace and a horrifying beast, and Bella is caught being selfish -- yet again... her siblings snap. They send her to take her father's place as the Beast's servant. As Bella serves the Beast and his friendly Steward, she begins to find true beauty... not to mention true love.

Honestly, I really enjoyed Becoming Beauty, and it really made me wonder what things I needed to change to find more inner beauty. Very good, clean read. Perfect for all ages, and isn't a super long read either! :)

No cussing, sexuality, or violence. (Some kissing, but not too inappropriate)
GOOD OR GOODBYE?
  GOOD!!!

NITTY GRITTY:
There really isn't any sexuality or cussing. There is some kissing, however it doesn't go into depth with it other than describing it as "soft, sweet, passionate, etc)

The Goose Girl

Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
Goose Girl has been recommended to me by many many people & I just finished it :)
When Ani, the crown princess, becomes just a princess and gets betrothed to a prince of an enemy land to make peace, she isn't very happy. Ani knows she's not amazing at this whole princess thing, but for her mother to just ship her away right after her fathers death is plain cruel. Not to mention she's never even left the palace grounds. Along the journey, Ani realizes that the guards escorting her, and her lady-in-waiting aren't loyal to her. Soon there's a massacre in the forest and Ani is running for her life. As Ani tries to make a plan to convince the King of her birth, she becomes the keeper of the Kings Geese, and makes many new friends, including the geese.

So personally, I had a really hard time getting involved in the story at first. It wasn't so much that it was a boring storyline, I guess just the writing style is a little slow. But as soon as I started getting into it, I couldn't put it down. Especially once some romance got involved ;) I would definitely say this is a good read for anyone of all ages :))

There weren't any cuss words, but there was one word that isn't necessarily a cuss word but is a bad word. Haha it starts with a B.

Ella Enchanted

Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
Welp, this is the book that I mentioned in the Fairest review. If you haven't read or watched Ella Enchanted, you have to! They are soo good! It's sorta a twist of Cinderella.

Ella was given a gift when she was a newborn by the fairy Lucinda. Lucinda thought that the gift of obedience would be such a great gift...but it wasn't. Too bad Lucinda refused to take it back. Now Ella is forced to obey every command ever given to her. Not to mention she now lives with her step mother and step sisters while her father is out selling valuables. The only good part of Ella's life is her servant, and her mother's best friend, Mandy. Ella is sent to finishing school with her step sisters Hattie and Olive. But soon Ella finds herself on a quest to get rid of her gift, and along the way she battles orges, befriends elves, and falls in love with a prince.
SOO GOOD! & SOO CLEAN. That's all you need to know.

Fairest

Fairest by Gail Carson Levine
Gail Carson Levine wants to continue writing in the Ella Enchanted world, so she wrote Fairest, about a girl named Aza who is Areida's adopted sister. :)

Aza has always hated her ugly appearance, and as an innkeepers daughter, life doesn't seem too amazing for Aza. However, she has an amazing voice, and not only is it beyond beautiful, but she can "throw" her voice. (make it sound like its coming from a different direction) soon Aza gets caught up in the palace life, being manipulated by the new queen, Ivi. As she struggles to keep her family, and herself safe, she also is torn between her affections for Prince Ijori and her burning desire to be pretty.
I really really enjoyed Fairest, and I think you will too :) its also 100% CLEAN :))

The List

The List by a LDS author, Melanie Jacobson.
I personally love love love this cute romance book & would recommend it to anyone, Mormon or not.

Ashley Barrett knows exactly what she wants. She doesn't want to get married right away, because she has to complete her List first. The List is her 25 goals that she WILL complete, so that she's more ready to settle down. Maybe. For the summer, Ashley sets off to live with her cousins to complete some items on the List. When she meets Matt Gibson, the surf king, she realizes he is the perfect man to cross off #17,--have a summer fling. But then Ashley and Matt start getting closer and closer... & Matt decides that he doesn't just want this to be summer fling.. but Ashley still can't decide what she wants. Complete the List she has worked on for years? Or follow a love that may tie her down?

First of all, it is so dang cute. I couldn't put it down. It was
supposed to be a Christmas gift to me last year, but I was there when we bought it, so I ended up reading it within two days... oops.. Seriously I am like in love with all of the characters in the book and ah so good!!

Aqua

Ahh so i am super pumped about this book Aqua! It was written by a friend of mine, Kathy Walters. It is super duper good. It kept me on the edge of my seat! If you like half-humany books or love stories, you will love this book!!

Aqua is about a girl named Marin, who has a phobia of water. Marin hates her fear so she decides to do an internship at a water study scientifical place (marine biology?). While she is there, she gets in an accident and finds that she can't drown... but she has no idea how that is happening... somehow she can breathe underwater. She doesn't tell anyone, least of all Jaycen who she happens to like. Which only complicated things when she meets Marcos... Which guy will she pick, and what is she gonna do about this whole breathing underwater thing?
So i love this book because not only does it captivate reader, but also it has a little romance. Who doesnt love a little romance?! Plus, it doesnt cuss, or have any sexual scenes!! scoreee!!
